Stop Rocking. Start Moving…

Here's a few tips to help you.

Last week I shared a quote that feels very relevant right now:

“Worrying is like a rocking chair. It gives you something to do, but it gets you nowhere.”

I’m seeing a lot of strong leaders stuck in exactly that place.

Busy.

Thinking.

Circling decisions.

But not moving…

The current landscape is noisy. Costs are unpredictable. Confidence is fragile. And when that happens, hesitation creeps in.

Here’s the truth:

Clarity does not come from thinking more. It comes from deciding.

Your role as a leader right now is not to have perfect foresight. Rather, it is to create movement.

Here’s a simple commercial reset.

Instead of asking:

  • What if this goes wrong?

  • What if we choose badly?

Ask:

  • What do we know for certain about our business today?

  • Where are we already performing well?

  • What decision have we been delaying for too long?

Then act.

And here’s a practical tool you can use immediately

Take 20 minutes and do this:

  1. List 3 decisions you are currently sitting on

  2. Identify what is actually stopping you (data, fear, alignment, time)

  3. Decide what is “good enough” information to move forward

  4. Make one decision today

This isn’t perfect. But it is forward!

Momentum creates clarity. Not the other way around.
